Welcome to the Center for Continuing Medical Education at Columbia University! We believe it is the obligation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons to provide opportunities for practicing physicians and other health care professionals locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to review and keep abreast of the latest developments in their specific fields.
It is our goal to sponsor activities which will provide participants with knowledge and/or skills and abilities that will enhance competence and thus contribute to better patient outcomes. We will strive to evaluate the effectiveness of each activity, through a variety of means, to ensure that all activities are successful in creating change in competence, performance and/or patient outcomes.
